Dr Wong Chiung Ing received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) degree from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. She completed her post-graduate training in Internal Medicine at various teaching hospitals in England and obtained Membership to the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK).
Dr Wong returned to Singapore, where she pursued specialist training at the National University Hospital (NUH), achieving specialist accreditation in Medical Oncology from the Singapore Ministry of Health. Prior to joining The Cancer Centre, she held the position of Consultant, Medical Oncologist at the NUH.
Dr Wong has been actively involved in clinical research, particularly first-in-human clinical trials exploring novel therapies for patients with cancer. She has presented and published her work in internationally renowned peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, the official journal of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Her commitment to research and patient care has been recognised through the receipt of various awards, including the National Healthcare Group Researcher Investigator Scientist Enabler Grant and the Excellent Service Gold Award (EXSA Gold) from SPRING Singapore.
Dr Wong takes pride in her contribution to public education and post-graduate training for doctors. She has been invited to present at numerous public symposia and has been a mentor to junior doctors at the NUH. She is a visiting consultant of Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Alvernia Hospital and Raffles Hospital.
Dr Wong specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of adult cancers with a special interest in breast and gynaecological cancers.
